Fresh Food / Great Drinks / Fast Service / Fun People

East End has been serving up tasty cocktails on energetic downtown East Franklin Street since 2002. The restaurant opened in May 2011 offering a more casual experience for those looking to enjoy a deliciously relaxing evening.

If you're stopping in for dinner, late-night or both, you'll always get the same great service. "It's something we're passionate about. It's always on our minds," comments server/bartender Matt Jednak. "What can we do to make sure each guest has a great time? People have different expectations so we cater to everyone individually. Whether you want to grab a quick drink or eat a leisurely dinner, we've got it covered."

What started as a "6 week" renovation project to open the kitchen turned into the biggest labor of love the owners have ever taken on. "We felt that a truly great neighborhood bar has to offer up some really good eats. Some three years later, we're ecstatic to be serving this food we're so crazy about." Local ingredients and fresh NC seafood inspire a seasonal menu of casual fare and house specialties dripping with big, homemade, done-right flavors.

You're likely to find husband-and-wife owners Howard and Brandy McDonald at East End anytime of day or night. They could be cooking or serving your meal, making your drinks, catching up with a regular customer or taking care of the many duties involved in running a bar and restaurant.

"We couldn't do it without the support of our incredible staff. We love these people like family. When we decided to open the restaurant, everyone was excited about mastering the new skills needed to really do this right. It's been scary to open a restaurant in a sluggish economy but we're so confident that everyone is going to love the food, we know we can make it work. Please come try us out, bring your friends and let us know what you think."
